I am Osun Femi (Pronounced O-SHOON), Priestess of Osun (also spelled Oshun, Ochun, Oxum). Osun is often called the river Orisha (think "goddess" or "deity"). She is associated with water, purity, fertility, love and sensuality. I work with many Orisha energies in addition to Oshun such as Ellegua, Obatala, Yemoja, Shango and Oya.

Waist beads

All House of Femi waist beads are handmade with love and positive energy. We bring you beautiful beads across the waters from Africa (Ghana and Nigeria). My sistas across the water are skilled in their craft and we can see it in the beautiful works of art they create. I also love to create waist beads! As a priestess, I craft with INTENTION. I use the energies of the Orishas to create healing strands.

The history of waistbeads in African societies runs long and deep. Waistbeads have been used across Africa in different countries by different tribes for different reasons. I don’t like to lock people into one reason or the other…tie these beads on for beauty, tie these beads on for spiritual reasons, tie these beads on to be mindful of your weight, to achieve goals and more… all is welcomed!
